Welcome to the Little Falls BOE Home Page
Little Falls Township is located in Passaic County, New Jersey and is approximately twenty miles west of New York City. The Little Falls District prides itself on being a small and supportive school system that works to address the varied needs of their students, and the community they serve. There are three schools in the District with School # 2 serving students in Kindergarten through Second Grade, School # 3 houses the District’s Third and Fourth Graders, and School # 1 services students in Fifth through Eighth Grade.
The Little Falls School District is committed to building our community's future by maintaining strong instructional leadership, excellent school climate, high teacher expectations, ongoing evaluation of programs and student progress, and establishing high levels of parent and community involvement. A wide range of programs has been developed to meet the needs of all students, including those with special needs and the academically gifted.
The Board of Education is a nine member board, organized as a committee structure responsible for establishing and implementing policies for the district. We are proud of the education we provide; an education made possible by the outstanding efforts of our faculty, support staff, administration, parents and community. The Board is pleased to introduce our monthly newsletter "The Board Bulletin", LFBOE expects this newsletter to enhance communications within the District. Please feel free to visit our page to view our online version as well as other District information. Another recent addition to the website is the posting of the tentative agendas for each Board Meeting the Friday before the meeting. We trust that you will find this feature helpful.
Please take a moment to read our BOE Bulletin which is posted on each school's homepage. It is nice to highlight some of the positive things we are doing and our students.
The BOE will be holding a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 24th. The public is invited to attend this meeting. The meeting will be held at School # 3 and will start at 7:30 p.m.
